German Books website relaunched We have relaunched the German Books website. It is now clearer to understand. More information for users and for developers. New support options. And above all: you are now able to re-contact the Books Translation Management by using the following form http://books.aetherial.net/de/?page_id=61#contact. You may also use this form to get support in German or French language. Please, help us to improve Books and to let us know what users expect from this software. We also need translators, still. Thanks to all of you, Posted by Enrico Richter on November 8th, 2008 | Comments Off The Comic Book DB plugin is back! As a comic book geek, I’m exercising my executive powers to declare that the Comic Book DB Quickfill plugin is back and working, thanks to Jeff Cousens. To download and install version 2.0 of the plugin, please visit the Plugin Manager. Please post any bug reports in the comments below. Posted by Chris Karr on October 8th, 2008 | 2 Comments » Stefano Falda of BabiSoft has contributed a new Quickfill plugin to Books. Stefano’s Google Books plugin provides an alternative to Amazon as a location to obtain both book information and cover images. The plugin is available via the Plugin Manager (Window: Plugin Manager). Please post any problems or issues in the comments below. Check that your QuickTime is up to date I’ve been getting some reports about Books not starting on 10.4.11 systems. If you’re experiencing these problems, please check that your QuickTime is completely up to date. If you’re running an sufficiently old version of Quicktime, Books will not start. If so, please give this test version a try: http://books.aetherial.net/downloads/Books.zip If that fixes the problem, please let me know in the comments so I can begin to package it as 3.2.1. Posted by Chris Karr on September 18th, 2008 | 9 Comments » BabiBooks Quickfill plugin for Italian users In addition to 3.2.0, I’ve also been working with Stefano Falda to create a Quickfill plugin for Italian users that works better than the SBN plugin. It’s available from the Plugin Manager as “BabiBooks”, so please give it a try. If it works well for you, please thank Stefano by visiting his BabiSoft website. He put a lot of hard work into this plugin and deserves all the credit. This update includes support for all of the following languages: Brazilian Portuguese (Matheus Lamberti di Abreu, Marcela Katzin) The translators are listed in parentheses, so feel free to thank them for their hard work.
