XFCE 4.4.1
Hoy acaban de publicar una actualización para el gestor de escritorio para Linux XFCE, en concreto la versión 4.4.1 que pone fin a gran cantidad de fallos y soluciona muchos de los bugs encontrados y reconocidos por la comunidad desarrolladora, además como vemos en las Release Notes, se han corregido muchos fallos de traducción y se ha mejorado la seguridad y estabilidad de este gestor ligero y que es la base de la distro Xubuntu, una distro ligera donde las haya.

Wubuntu es una adaptación online de la distribución Linux Ubuntu.

La adaptación emula la interfaz y poco mas, dado que en realidad lo único que se nos permite es juguetear con las ventanas y emplear el navegador Firefox.

Por fin está disponible para su descarga UbuntuStudio, una distribución basada en Ubuntu destinada a la creación multimedia.

UbuntuStudio es un proyecto que al igual que Kubuntu, Edubuntu y derivados recibe el apoyo de Ubuntu.

La nueva distribución está destinada a músicos, a los que pretende acercar el mundo de la edición profesional libre.

Ubuntu Linux Dapper Drake 6.06 Beta
Después de seis versiones alfa, ya puede ser descargada la primera versión beta de la nueva Ubuntu, con el pintoresco nombre de "Dapper Drake" 6.06.

"Flight" es el nombre de las nuevas versiones de desarrollo de Ubuntu Linux 6.06 "Dapper Drake".

Y la primera beta ya está disponible para su descarga, con un nuevo kernel, el 2.6.15, un mejoradísimo sistema de instalación gráfica, detección de hardware y un nuevo bootloader gráfico

Una versión de la que todos esperamos mucho, dado que Dapper será el fruto del trabajo de dos años, dejando a las versiones anteriores como meros experimentos.

La versión final, para junio del presente año.
